About

So, why start an A/C blog anyway?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about automotive A/C service. My desire to help others solve their A/C problems has kept me involved (for over eleven years now) with my first web site, Aircondition.Com. This blog is just an extension of what I enjoy doing.

So why do we do what we do?

I know exactly how I ended up here. When I was young and impressionable, I brought the wrong books home from the library. When I was twelve, I would check out those big Motor manuals. As I remember, they were heavy and I could only ever manage to get a couple of them home at a time. I spent hours looking at diagrams, trying to learn the names of all those parts. I knew at that age I wanted to be an auto mechanic. By age eighteen I was working part time at a full service gas station, which, incidentally, gave me my first shot at auto a/c.

From those early days when I was just starting out in the field of automotive repair, I found A/C service was my favorite type of work. Every recharge was sort of a new learning experience and I was getting quite good at it. It was just starting to get into my blood at that point.

After high school, I attended technical school for HVAC and worked a few seasons in the field doing everything from hanging gas furnaces to repairing ice makers. I enjoyed HVAC, but gravitated away from homes and commercial business to cars, trucks, and buses. The auto repair trade made it possible to do a combination of everything I enjoyed most.

Blogging about auto air conditioning is just another way of staying close to the service I really enjoy. The big drawback of course is the level of excitement. Automotive A/C service is a great trade, but rarely is there anything exciting to write about. Certainly, If I see something worth sharing, or hear some news worth mentioning this will be the place I post it.

If you find yourself with something you would like to share, please let me know. Drop a comment in a post, send me an e-mail or give me a call. 1-888-464-8761 ext.702

For those of you that have received invitations to become contributors here, I hope you’ll stop in once in a while to share some of your A/C related rants, suggestions, stories, comments, etc..

Thanks for visiting!
